Product: Pure Ceylon Black Tea
"SERANTH`E" brand name tea for USA is climatically grown and sold
in tea bags is the primary product and secondary product is loose
tea. Black tea is allowed to wither, which precedes a process called
oxidation (sometimes incorrectly referred to as fermentation) during
which water evaporates out of the leaf and the leaf absorbs more oxygen
from the air. Black teas usually undergo full oxidation, and the results
are the characteristic dark brown and black leaf, the typically more
robust and pronounced flavors of black teas, and higher caffeine content
compared to other teas (50-60% of coffee, depending on the type and
brewing technique).
Price: Our tea is the most affordable
luxury in the world. A tea that costs $100.00 per pound only costs
50 cents per cup when brewed. Also, many of the tea will yield as
many as 4-5 infusions from the same leaf. For black tea, those later
infusions yield the most interesting flavors. Since most of the caffeine
is released in the first infusion, this is also a way to reduce the
caffeine content.
For bulk sales, tea is priced per quarter pound (4 oz.). A quarter
lb. will typically make 50 cups of tea. We will also package tea in
2 oz. Quantities, at half of the 4 oz. Price, plus 40 cents. Wholesale
pricing is also available. Black Tea (Darjeeling) is known as the
Champagne of the teas and is prized for their fresh taste and delicate
nuances of flavor with some astringency. From the island of Sri Lanka,
which still retains its old colonial name for matters dealing with
tea, these are bright, flavorful, brisk, and refreshing black tea. |
